Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By installing or using Lumen (bundle ID app.lumen.ios) you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

2. What Lumen does

Lumen computes your natal birth chart from the date, time, and place you provide; delivers a personalized daily horoscope based on current planetary transits to that chart; offers synastry-style compatibility readings between two charts; and renders interactive tarot spreads with interpretive text. All readings are produced for entertainment, reflection, and self-exploration purposes.

3. Eligibility & account

You need to be at least 13 years old (16 in some EU countries) to use Lumen. You're responsible for keeping your Apple ID secure. One person per install.

4. Subscriptions & free trial

• Free users can compute their own birth chart and view a short daily horoscope.
• Lumen Pro Weekly: $9.99 per week, billed weekly via Apple. Unlocks full transit readings, compatibility, unlimited tarot spreads, and saved chart history.
• Lumen Pro Annual: $59.99 per year, billed annually via Apple, with a 3-day free trial. Same Pro features.
• Refunds are handled by Apple — request through your Apple ID purchase history.

Auto-renew & cancellation: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Free trials convert to paid Lumen Pro Annual at $59.99/year unless cancelled before the trial ends. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

5. Your birth data & content

You provide your birth date, time, and place. By default, this data is stored locally on your device; optional iCloud or Lumen-account backup can be enabled in Settings. You retain ownership. You grant us a limited license to use this data solely to compute your chart, generate readings, and persist them across your devices when backup is enabled.

Readings, tarot spreads, and saved charts are yours to use personally and to share informally. Commercial resale of Lumen output is not permitted without our written consent.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Lumen to make medical, financial, legal, or other professional decisions. Readings are reflective, not advisory.
• Input another person's birth data without their permission in order to publish or distribute interpretations about them.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract our chart engine, prompts, or interpretation models.
• Resell, sublicense, or rebrand the service.
• Use Lumen to harass, defame, or impersonate anyone.

7. Entertainment disclaimer

Astrology and tarot interpretations in Lumen are provided for entertainment and self-reflection. They are not a substitute for medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. Don't make consequential life decisions based solely on a horoscope or a tarot card. If you're struggling, please reach out to a qualified professional.

8. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate access for users who violate these Terms, attempt to abuse the service, or pose a safety or legal risk. You can delete your data at any time in Settings → Privacy → Delete my data.

9. Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided "as is". We disclaim implied warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

10. Dispute resolution & arbitration (US users)

If you are a US resident, you and Lumen agree to resolve any dispute through binding individual arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, rather than in court, except that either party may seek relief in small-claims court for qualifying disputes. You waive the right to participate in a class action. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first installing Lumen by emailing us at the address below with "Arbitration opt-out" in the subject line.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Consumer-protection rights you have under the laws of your country of residence are unaffected.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app at least 14 days before they take effect.
